Beijing BCEG Golden State Sources Environment Protection Development Co., Ltd., a provider of specialized services to customers in China’s solid waste, water and wastewater treatment industries, has selected the TETRA® Denite® System from Severn Trent Services for use at Phase III of the Huishan Wastewater Treatment Co., Ltd. project in the Huishan district of Wuxi City, China. Huishan Wastewater Treatment Co., Ltd. approved the use of the TETRA Denite system to remove nitrate-nitrogen (NO3-N) and total suspended solids (TSS) at the wastewater plant, meeting. Class IA effluent discharge standards enacted by the China Central Government. Construction of the 25,000 m3/day plant is scheduled for completion in November 2009.
Schneider Electric announced that its Square D® Company was awarded multiple task orders with Naval Facilities Engineering Command for advanced metering projects under Contract N62583-08-D-0137 as part of the Navy’s Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program. Three task order awards are for the Navy Region Northwest project, with a total value of $31.1 million. Another task order award is for the Marine Corp Base Camp Smedley D. Butler project and is valued at $2.6 million. The work will include designing, procurement, installation, test- ing and sustaining of building-level, advanced meter- ing solutions in support of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007.
